Phyl (gaaarp)

I’m 40-something Midwestern baker, husband, and father of two. I work as a Tax Officer for a major bank to support my cooking and baking habits. I love baking artisan breads, and recently finished baking every recipe in Peter Reinhart’s The Bread Baker’s Apprentice. I have a bit of experience with quick breads and cakes, but pies and tarts have never been my strong suit, which is why I decided to take the Modern Baker Challenge.
